Fire in Human Form

A poem of sonship awakening in flesh

I am the breath of God wrapped in dust.
A hidden inferno beneath ordinary skin.
I walk like a man,
but eternity leaks out of me.

I carry the memory of flame.
I tremble with the weight of the One who burns without consuming.
Every step
is a spark looking for permission.

Do not be fooled by the softness of flesh.
There is a wildfire behind these eyes.
I am not here to simply exist.
I am here to ignite.

He did not send me to blend in.
He sent me to blaze.
To set off a chain reaction of awakening.
To prove that the Lamb still burns through sons.

I am a candle only until the wind comes.
After that,
I am a storm.
I am fire in human form.

-Joe Restman, Eternal Witness of the Lamb.
