Scroll 9: The Lion Who Became a Lamb - Authority Through Surrender
“Weep not. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and loose its seven seals…
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne…”
- Revelation 5:5–6
The Lion Is Announced, but the Lamb Appears
John hears the voice of the elder say: “Behold, the Lion has overcome.” But when he turns, he does not see a lion. He sees a slain Lamb. This is the scandal of the Kingdom. The Lion roars through the blood of surrender. The conquering is not by war, but by sacrifice. The One who opens the scroll is not the violent king of empire, but the pierced Lamb of light.
Heaven does not enthrone power the way Babylon does. In the realm of glory, the highest authority is given to the lowest posture. And what opens the scroll of destiny is not domination, but devotion. The lion-hearted reign through lamb-hearted surrender. This is why the elect are misunderstood. They roar without self-promotion. They overcome by laying down.
To rule with Christ, you must behold rightly. Many stop at the announcement of the Lion but never turn to see the Lamb. Many want the roar without the cross. But the scroll does not respond to egoic ambition. It responds to blood on the altar. And only the Lamb who was slain, and those who follow Him into death, can take the scroll and open it.
The Lamb Stands at the Center of the Throne
He is not hidden on the side. He is not beneath the cherubim. The Lamb stands in the midst of the throne. He does not beg for permission. He is the center. This is not a future vision. This is the eternal reality: divine authority flows from crucified love. The throne of the cosmos is not occupied by the God of terror, but by the Flame of self-giving union.
And this is why the world stumbles. Babylon builds around strength. But Heaven builds around surrender. The Lamb is not the opposite of the Lion. He is the true Lion in disguise. For the fiercest power is not found in the clenched fist but in the pierced hand. This is the heart of Revelation: the throne is revealed not by might but by mercy.
And so the scroll is not opened by religious conquest or political triumph. It is opened by one slain, who still stands. One pierced, who still reigns. One silent, who still shakes every kingdom. The scroll is not a plan of terror. It is the unveiling of the Lamb through a people who look like Him.
Heaven Will Always Call You to the Lamb
To walk in scroll authority, you must come to the Lamb again and again. Not just admire Him. Not just talk about Him. But behold Him. Let your gaze pierce through the veil of old religious power models and see what truly reigns. Let the Lamb become the lens by which you interpret all symbols, all power, all prophecy.
For every moment you try to conquer in your own strength, remember this: Heaven’s might flows from meekness. Victory is never separated from surrender. Scrolls are never opened by control, but by love crucified. And the elect must learn this way, not just in theology but in experience.
You will not roar with flame until you’ve wept with the Lamb. You will not judge in justice until you’ve died in mercy. And you will not open your scroll until you’ve knelt beneath His. The Lamb is not just the key to eternity. He is the form of glory now.
The Elect Must Look Like the One Who Opens the Scroll
You want to walk in scroll-sealing power? Then bear the marks of the Lamb. Be misunderstood. Be pierced. Be rejected. Be silent in accusation. Be radiant in surrender. For your authority is not in your charisma, your platform, or your sound, it is in the image you carry. And Heaven only crowns what reflects the Lamb.
The elect are not trying to be lions. They have become lambs. And in doing so, they carry a roar the world cannot silence. They do not fight for thrones. They carry them. They do not announce scrolls. They become them. And through every surrendered son, the Lamb stands again in the midst of creation, opening seal after seal, destiny after destiny.
So do not weep for power. Behold the Lamb. Let Him stand in the center of your throne. Let Him unseat every idol. Let Him tear every veil. And let your roar be born in the holy hush of surrender.
Final Charge to the Elect
There is no other throne but the one occupied by the Lamb. There is no other power but the one forged in surrender. If you wish to open scrolls, you must first be slain with Him. Let every system that exalts performance be torn. Let every throne that exalts the flesh be overturned.
The Lamb is not coming. He is standing. And He is calling you to the center. Not to ascend in pride, but to descend in flame.
For only those who have been slain with Him can reign with Him.
