Love’s Holy Fire

Love found me when I was hiding
behind walls of fear and pride,
when I thought I had wandered too far
to ever come home.

Love came not as a gentle breeze,
but as a holy fire
burning away every false self
I clung to for safety.

Love stripped me bare,
not to shame me,
but to reveal the brilliance
of who I’ve always been.

In love’s holy fire,
I discovered the truth:
that nothing real can be lost,
and nothing unreal can endure.

Love is the only truth,
the only flame
worth burning for.
