You Are Either Spirit or Person - There Is No In Between

“The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.”
— 1 Corinthians 2:14

There are only two natures you can live from, the person, or the Spirit. The ego, or the eternal. The flesh, or the flame. One is a temporal, illusion-based self built on fear, self-will, and separation. The other is the divine you, awakened in Christ, burning with the will and fire of God. Both cannot rule the same temple. For the spirit and the ego are not just different, they are opposed.

The Person Must Die for the Spirit to Live

The spiritual life is not self-improvement of the old man, it is the death of him. You cannot polish ego into Christ. The person you think you are, the one with human dreams, ambitions, wounds, and titles, that is the one who must go to the cross. You are not called to renovate Adam but to crucify him.

“I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”
— Galatians 2:20

There is no such thing as a spiritual person who has not died. For the spirit cannot awaken in a temple ruled by ego. You must lay down the self-life to receive the scroll of your true identity. As long as the “you” built by history, culture, trauma, and self-effort still governs your actions, the Spirit cannot be fully known.

“For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.”
— Romans 8:13

Two Realms, Two Value Systems, Two Worlds

When one walks by Spirit, they no longer interpret life by personal preference. They live by divine impulse, by Word, by flame. Their choices are not governed by what benefits the person, but what glorifies the Lamb. This places them in direct opposition to the system of this world, and even to well-meaning people who still live from “personhood.”

“The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.”
— Romans 8:7

The spiritual one sees eternity now. The person sees what’s convenient now. One operates from union. The other from survival. Their values are not just different, they are irreconcilable. This is why the spiritual one often feels misunderstood, judged, or alien to those who still live from ego. The more divine your flame becomes, the more your life will appear foolish to the carnal mind.

“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise.”
— 1 Corinthians 1:27

The Spiritual One Loves Deeply, Even When Misunderstood

The one who walks in Spirit does not despise the person still caught in ego, they carry compassion. They recognize that they too once lived in that blindness, and so they become vessels of mercy. The spiritual one will never try to force transformation, because they know only the fire of God can awaken true change.

“Those who are spiritual should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness.”
— Galatians 6:1

The spiritual one blesses those who persecute, loves those who misunderstand, and speaks truth even when it is rejected. But they do not compromise. They do not water down flame to make it more acceptable. They hold the scroll faithfully, not because others understand it, but because He wrote it.

“Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.”
— Luke 6:26

You Cannot Be Spirit Without Death - But You Can’t Be Holy Without Love

To live from Spirit is to live consecrated, but not religious. Holiness is not behavior management, it is fire-born separation unto God. It is letting go of everything ego once called life, and becoming one with the flame. But the holy one is never harsh or prideful, they burn with holy love.

“Put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
— Ephesians 4:24

Religion tries to change behavior to feel closer to God. But true spiritual life begins with union, not effort. From that union flows fruit, not just gifts. The more you behold the Lamb, the more your life is transfigured. Not by striving, but by fire.

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory…”
— 2 Corinthians 3:18

Final Word to the Elect

You are not a “good person.” You are a new creation.

You are not here to live a slightly better human life.
You are here to be Spirit born, Spirit led, and Spirit sustained.

To walk in Spirit means you will be misunderstood, labeled, mocked, even by those who say they love God. But beloved, you are no longer a person, you are flame. You are no longer trying to be spiritual, you are Spirit.

So choose today:
Burn with ego, or burn with God.
You cannot burn with both.
